The address to add

hello@seniorlivingmalaysia.org

Because that address is new, some providers put our first message in Junk or Spam rather than the inbox. Adding it to your contacts or safe-senders list takes a few seconds and helps our mail through.

Yahoo Mail

Yahoo is the one families tell us about most often, so start here if you are on Yahoo.

  1. If our message is already in Spam: open it, then click Not Spam at the top. Yahoo moves it to your inbox and learns from it.
  2. Add us to your contacts: go to Contacts (the address-book icon on the right), choose Add a new contact, and save hello@seniorlivingmalaysia.org under any name you like.
  3. Or set a filter, which is the strongest option: Settings → More Settings → Filters → Add new filters. Set the sender to contain seniorlivingmalaysia.org and the destination folder to Inbox.

Outlook, Hotmail and Live

  1. If our message is in Junk: open it and click Not junk, or right-click it and choose Mark as not junk.
  2. Add us to safe senders: Settings → Mail → Junk email → under Safe senders and domains, add seniorlivingmalaysia.org and save.

Gmail

  1. If our message is in Spam: open it and click Report not spam.
  2. Add us as a contact: hover over the sender name in any message from us and choose Add to contacts.
  3. Or set a filter: click the filter icon in the search bar, put seniorlivingmalaysia.org in the From field, then Create filter and tick Never send it to Spam.

iCloud and Apple Mail

  1. If our message is in Junk: open it and choose Not Junk, or drag it to your inbox.
  2. Add us to your contacts: tap or click the sender address and choose Add to Contacts. On an iPhone, adding the address to Contacts is usually enough on its own.

On your phone, whichever app you use

Saving hello@seniorlivingmalaysia.org into your phone's contacts helps in most mail apps, because they treat a saved contact as trusted. It takes about ten seconds and you only have to do it once.

Why this happens at all

Mail providers judge an address partly on how long it has been sending and how often people engage with it. Ours is new, and we write to a small number of families rather than sending in bulk, so there is not much history for a filter to go on. Everything on our side is set up correctly - it is simply that being set up correctly gets you considered, not delivered.

If you have done the above and still see nothing from us, message us on WhatsApp at+65 8020 8991 and we will find another way to reach you.
