We help families find and compare senior living, assisted living, and nursing homes in Malaysia. We do not own, operate, employ staff at, or supervise care at any facility listed. We do not visit residents, make clinical assessments, or take responsibility for the quality of care any home provides.

Information here is general, not personalised

Our guides, articles, listing descriptions, and educational content are written for the general public and reflect publicly available information. They are not a substitute for:

• Diagnosis, treatment, or care recommendations from a qualified medical professional
• A clinical assessment of your parent or relative's specific needs
• Direct communication with a facility's nursing, medical, or admissions team
• Legal or financial advice about care contracts, EPF withdrawals, insurance, or estate planning

Always verify with the facility directly

Care needs are individual and conditions can change quickly. Before making a placement decision, verify directly with the facility:

• Whether they can support your parent's specific medical needs (e.g. NG tube feeding, PEG, tracheostomy, post-stroke rehab, dementia behaviours)
• Current pricing, deposits, and what is and is not included
• Current licensing status with KKM (Ministry of Health) and/or JKM (Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat)
• Staff-to-resident ratios, on-call medical arrangements, and emergency protocols
• Bed availability, waiting lists, and admission process

We strongly recommend an in-person tour and a candid conversation with the home's nursing or admissions lead before signing anything.

Licensing badges are not endorsements

Where we display "MOH Licensed" or "JKM Registered" badges, we are reporting the licensing/registration status as we understand it from public registries and operator self-disclosure at the time we last checked. A licensing badge is a baseline trust signal — it is not a guarantee of care quality, an endorsement of the operator, or a substitute for your own due diligence. Licences can lapse, be suspended, or be conditional. Verify current status with the relevant authority before committing.

How we research listings

We compile listing information from:

• Public registries (KKM CKAPS for MOH-licensed facilities; JKM and AgeCOPE for registered care centres)
• Operator websites and published materials
• Direct correspondence with operators where possible
• On-the-ground research, site visits, and interviews where feasible

Where licensing status, pricing, or care capabilities cannot be verified, we mark them as "unknown" rather than guess. We aim for accuracy, but we cannot guarantee that every detail is current at the moment you read it.

Reporting errors

If you spot information that is wrong, out of date, or potentially misleading — particularly about licensing, pricing, or clinical capability — please email hello@seniorlivingmalaysia.org. We take corrections seriously and will update the listing or guide promptly once verified.
