Why this matters
Eldercare content sits squarely in what Google calls "Your Money or Your Life" — sites whose information can affect a reader's health, finances, or major life decisions. Google holds these sites to the highest E-E-A-T (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trustworthiness) standard before ranking them well.
Anonymous health content is structurally penalised. Content reviewed by a named, verifiable medical professional is rewarded — and, more importantly, is more trustworthy for the families relying on it to make a placement decision they may regret deeply if they get wrong.
We are a one-person operation, founded by DoKheng Tan (Singapore-based, founder, not a clinician). The medical and clinical content on this site needs review by people who actually practice — that is what this programme is for.
Who we're looking for
Specifically these clinical roles, in roughly this order of priority:
- Geriatricians or general physicians with elderly-care practice experience in Malaysia. Reviewer for clinical guides — dementia, palliative, post-stroke, fees-and-care-planning.
- Registered nurses (RN) with senior-living, hospice, or step-down-care experience. Reviewer for nursing-home-selection, home-visit, and licensing guides.
- Social workers / counsellors with eldercare placement experience. Reviewer for caregiver-burnout, family-decision, and Singapore cross-border guides.
- Palliative-care or rehabilitation specialists for the relevant care-type hubs.
We are not asking for opinions outside your specialty. A geriatrician reviewing a dementia guide; a palliative-care RN reviewing palliative content. Your byline appears only on guides you actually review.
What's involved
- Read 1-3 guides per quarter in your specialty (each is a 5-10 minute read).
- Flag inaccuracies or out-of-date claims in writing — email comments are fine. We do the rewriting.
- Sign off when satisfied. Your name and credential go on the byline of guides you've reviewed.
- Annual freshness check. Once a year, a 15-minute review per guide to confirm the content is still current. We re-publish "Last reviewed [Month Year]" alongside.
Total time commitment is typically under 2 hours per quarter. There is no obligation to write content yourself — we handle the writing, you handle the review.
What you get
- Named byline with your credential and role on every guide you review (e.g. "Medically reviewed by Dr A.B. Tan, MBBS FRCP, Consultant Geriatrician"), with optional link to your hospital page or LinkedIn.
- Public credit on the panel page with a short bio.
- A small honorarium per reviewed guide — modest, paid by direct transfer. We are not pretending this is significant compensation; it is acknowledgment, not employment.
- No requirement to refer patients to us, no commercial conflict, no sales obligation. Your professional independence is the point.
What we will and won't do
We will list you transparently with your credential, link to your verifiable profile, and update review dates honestly. We will never represent your review as broader than it is.
We will not put your name on guides you haven't actually reviewed. We will not use your reviewer status to imply endorsement of specific operators, listings, or commercial arrangements. We will not share your contact details with any operator we list or partner with.
If you request to leave the panel, we remove your name from current bylines within 7 days and withdraw the page from indexing if removing the byline would orphan it.

Email hello@seniorlivingmalaysia.org with your specialty, where you practice, and a short note about why this work appeals to you. We respond within a working day. Initial conversations are over coffee or video call — no formal application form.
WhatsApp +65 8020 8991 works equally well if email isn't your medium.
