Jeta Care is Malaysia’s first aged care centre designed on Australian aged care principles and operating within a Confucianist value framework. The purpose-built three-level facility occupies approximately 2,150 m2 in Kulai Besar, Johor, and has served over 2,000 seniors across 15 years of operation.

Under new ownership as of 2026, the home is owned by a doctor who personally reviews and advises on every resident’s case, supported by a panel doctor who visits twice a month. Registered nurses lead clinical care alongside personal carers, with a 24-hour nurse station on site.

Care and services

Rooms are air-conditioned shared configurations - female 5-bed, 3-bed and 2-bed; male 4-bed and 3-bed (operator-confirmed Jun 2026). Care focuses on high-dependency nursing - 24-hour nurse station, personal hygiene, tube feeding, repositioning every 2-4 hours, and daily light exercise led by care staff - plus respite stays and post-surgical recovery.

Physiotherapy is provided through two visiting physiotherapists (one male, one female) for residents who need more intensive exercise - RM 120 per session, with two complimentary sessions on admission (an 8-session package is charged as 6 after the two free). Care staff also lead daily light exercises. Lifestyle amenities include a rooftop garden, cafe, hair salon, library, gym, and a multipurpose hall for group activities.

Monthly fees (operator-confirmed Jun 2026): shared 3/4/5-bed RM 3,500; 2-bed RM 3,700-3,900; single room RM 3,800-4,200 (rates vary by room size). As of late June 2026 the 2-bed and single rooms are full - availability is male 3 & 4-bed and female 2 & 3-bed. Jeta Care takes all levels of care, long-term or respite (respite care is RM 150 per day; a respite resident is placed in any room with a vacant bed, kept single-gender). The fee includes the air-conditioned room, 24-hour nurse station, personal care, tube feeding, repositioning, and daily light exercise; physiotherapy packages are charged separately. Both halal and non-halal diets are catered.

What families should know

Jeta Care has historically held dual MOH/CKAPS and JKM certification (CKAPS validity 29 February 2028 per the operator’s website). The home changed ownership in 2026, so families should re-confirm current licensing directly. Daily care staff are mainly Malay and Indian, with Malay and English widely spoken. The manager, Lili, is the one Chinese staff member and speaks Cantonese and Hakka (not Mandarin), helping translate and bridge communication on the floor. Families whose relative speaks mainly Mandarin should weigh this limited Chinese-language cover.

The Australian-concept framing reflects genuine founding principles: protocols, care planning, and staff training were modelled on Australian aged care standards. For Singapore families familiar with the Australian system, this positioning may be reassuring.
