About

Jeta Care is Malaysia’s first aged care centre designed on Australian aged care principles and operating within a Confucianist value framework. The purpose-built three-level facility occupies approximately 2,150 m2 in Kulai Besar, Johor, and has served over 2,000 seniors across 15 years of operation.

Medical director Dr. Goh Yi Xiong provides visiting doctor oversight. Registered nurses - including Australian-trained staff - lead clinical care alongside qualified personal carers, and the facility holds both MOH (CKAPS) and JKM licences concurrently.

Care and services

62 beds across private and shared room configurations (2, 3, or 4 beds); all air-conditioned with call bells and TV. Care spans the full acuity range: low-dependency assisted living, high-dependency nursing, dementia care, palliative care, and post-surgical transitional care.

Physiotherapy and rehabilitation are available in-house. Lifestyle amenities include a rooftop garden, cafe, hair salon, library, gym, and a multipurpose hall for group activities.

What families should know

Pricing is on enquiry. Jeta Care is one of a small number of Malaysian facilities with dual MOH/CKAPS and JKM certification - the CKAPS certificate is publicly displayed on their website with a validity date of 29 February 2028.

The Australian-concept framing reflects genuine founding principles: protocols, care planning, and staff training were modelled on Australian aged care standards. For Singapore families familiar with the Australian system, this positioning may be reassuring.

Location

Taman Seraya, 81000 Kulai Besar - north Johor on the North-South Expressway, approximately 35-40 minutes from the Causeway. Convenient for families in north JB, Kulai, and Ulu Tiram, and accessible from Singapore via the NSE.

How we determined this licensing status

Both MOH and JKM licensing status sourced from the operator's own website (jetacare.com), which displays scanned copies of both certificates. The MOH CKAPS licence is valid through 29 February 2028. Registration numbers not publicly listed.

Licensing status can change — licences expire, transfer to new operators, or get renewed under a different legal entity. We cross-reference public sources to be as accurate as possible, but always ask to see the physical certificate during your tour. For JKM, ask for the Perakuan Pendaftaran Pusat Jagaan. For MOH, ask for the CKAPS approval letter.

Operators: email your certificate to hello@seniorlivingmalaysia.org and we will upgrade this listing to a Verified ✓ badge showing the certificate date. While you're at it — one line on cultural fit (halal kitchen, surau, Mandarin-speaking staff, dietary accommodations) helps the families who specifically search for that.
