The Hope Village (also known as Greenlush Hope Village) is a long-running non-profit Christian organisation in Tuaran, Sabah, that cares for the poor, the aged, and others in need. The facility has been operational for over a decade and houses 71 residents as of Sabah Media’s February 2026 coverage. UMS academics have studied it as a case study in elderly care management challenges in Sabah - rare third-party academic validation for a Malaysian aged care home.

Care & services

Long-term residential care for elderly residents, with respite and welfare-style care for vulnerable adults. The faith-based, non-profit operating model means the centre accepts residents without strict income screening - similar in spirit to NGO old folks homes in other states (Charis Mantin, Yayasan Teratai Ipoh, Silver Jubilee Penang).

The Hope Village is the right answer for a specific situation: families with elderly relatives in Sabah who lack financial means and need shelter / compassionate care.
