Haywood Senior Living operates a location within the Medini district of Iskandar Puteri, offering a hotel-style approach to senior living — private rooms with modern amenities, shared dining and entertainment spaces, and access to leisure facilities. The model is geared toward residents who are largely independent or need light assistance, with options for longer-term stays, short-term respite, and day care.

Rates

Rate card supplied by the operator in October 2026 (received 16 October). Two things decide the price: the room, and the level of care.

Sole occupancy, per month

Twin sharing, per month

Included: biweekly doctor visit, daily vital-sign checks, 24-hour nursing care (not for independent living), three main meals, group exercise and activities, laundry, accommodation, personal grooming and customer support.

Not included: a one-month deposit and a RM1,000 new admission fee on any stay of a month or more, which covers the nursing, physiotherapy, TCM and psychological assessments. One-to-one 24-hour care is RM4,500 a month on top.

Short stays and day care: one week RM2,500 or two weeks RM4,500 sole occupancy; RM2,000 and RM3,500 twin sharing. Add RM250 (one week) or RM500 (two weeks) for a fully-dependent resident, and RM150 or RM300 to choose a specific room type where one is available. Day care is RM200 a day from 9am to 6pm; overnight care is RM500 in a deluxe room or RM600 in a studio.

Consumables (such as diapers and dressings), equipment rental and therapy sessions are charged on top. Confirm the current figure with the operator before relying on it.

What families should know

Medini is in the Iskandar development zone west of Johor Bahru city centre, roughly 15–20 km from the Woodlands checkpoint - a relatively short drive for Singapore-based family visits. The operator also runs locations in Bangsar (Kuala Lumpur) and Genting Highlands.

Location

Bandar Medini Iskandar is a planned township within Iskandar Puteri, home to LEGOLAND Malaysia, healthcare facilities, and retail. The location is well-served by main roads connecting to the Tuas and Woodlands crossings.
