About
Harmony Hill Home (Bahasa: Rumah Bukit Harmoni) is operated by Yayasan Sin Chew — the charitable foundation of the Sin Chew Daily media group, one of Malaysia’s largest Chinese-language newspapers. Opened in January 2024, it is a purpose-built 288-bed facility on approximately 5 acres within a larger green site near Semenyih, featuring a distinctive double-courtyard design that allows residents to circulate freely between gardens and indoor spaces.
Care & services
Full residential care, daycare, and short-term or respite stays. The daily activities programme is particularly strong: handicrafts, art sessions, singing, dancing, photography, yoga, tai chi, gardening, cooking classes, and technology literacy. Both residential and daycare tracks are available — the daycare programme is RM 800/month for 12 sessions.
What families should know
Harmony Hill is one of the most important new openings in Malaysian senior care in 2024. The Yayasan Sin Chew backing means the operator is not profit-driven — a meaningful distinction from private operators. JKM registered. English and Traditional Chinese are the primary communication languages, making it particularly well-suited to Chinese-speaking families. The Semenyih location is approximately 35–40 minutes from KL city centre; scenic but not central.
Location
Taman Tasik Semenyih, 43500 Semenyih — adjacent to the Semenyih reservoir parkland, near Broga Hills. Approximately 35 minutes from KL via the LEKAS Highway.

How we determined this licensing status
JKM-registered (cert B/PJBWT 013/2023, valid to 09.07.2028) per the official JKM Pusat Jagaan register; also stated on the operator's own website (harmonyhillhome.com.my).
Licensing status can change — licences expire, transfer to new operators, or get renewed under a different legal entity. We cross-reference public sources to be as accurate as possible, but always ask to see the physical certificate during your tour. For JKM, ask for the Perakuan Pendaftaran Pusat Jagaan. For MOH, ask for the CKAPS approval letter.
Operators: email your certificate to hello@seniorlivingmalaysia.org and we will upgrade this listing to a Verified ✓ badge showing the certificate date. While you're at it — one line on cultural fit (halal kitchen, surau, Mandarin-speaking staff, dietary accommodations) helps the families who specifically search for that.
